Q1. What's the difference between Metro and Classic?

Metro Comic Cubes and Condos are made of 3/4-inch-thick chipboard panels with a melamine resin laminate on all surfaces. The panel material is highly resistant to moisture, wear, and scuffing.

Classic Comic Cubes and Condos are are made using furniture grade plywood with real wood veneer and are available in cherry, oak, and maple. Classic Comic Condos are finished with Sherwin Williams white water conversion varnish. It is extremely durable and water resistant.

Both Metro and Classic feature drawers made of 1/2-inch-thick, plywood, a high-grade plywood preferred by cabinetmakers because of its stability, consistent quality, and attractive appearance.

Q2. What sizes are the Cubes/Condos/drawers?

The inside dimensions of each drawer are 8 1/2" wide x 17" long x 7" high. The drawer's maximum clearance from bottom to top is 11 1/2".

Please note: As of April 1, 2023, we no longer offer dovetail drawers in order to keep our pricing as low as possible.

Q3. How many comics fit in each drawer?

Each Comic Cube/Condo drawer comfortably holds 150 comics, including bags and boards.

Q4. What's a CGC Cube or Condo?

Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) is a comic book grading service that can help you determine whether a comic book you are considering for purchase is restored or conserved. CGC graded comics are a different size than standard comics. We created a CGC line of Cubes and Condos to accomodate the size difference.

Q6. Do you ship Comic Cubes and Condos?

We currently offer shipping in the continetal U.S. for all Cubes and Condos! Please visit our Order page and fill out the form for a shipping quote.

Q7. Is international shipping available?

Unfortunately, at this time, we only offer shipping within the continetal U.S.

Q8. Is shipping included in the price?

Shipping is an additional charge and varies based upon your location. We currently ship via FedEx and R&L Carriers. Please visit our Order page to request a shipping quote.

Q9. What methods of payment do you accept? Can I use my Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, etc.?

We accept payment with personal checks made out to Urban Timber. We also accept credit card payments through PayPal and Venmo. Please note: there is an additional 3% fee for all PayPal payments. Venmo has no additional fee.

Q10. Do I have to pay in full or do you offer a payment plan?

We ask for half of the payment upon ordering and the other half when we're ready to ship your Cubes or Condo to you.

Q11. I'm interested in custom engraving on my Cubes/Condo. How does that work?

Custom engraving is available on all Classic Cubes and Condos. If you're interested, we would need a high quality image, preferably at 300dpi or larger. The charge for all engraving is $50 per drawer front.
